ET Ducky changelog, week of September 28, 2026
This week's changes are in remote desktop on Windows sign-in screens and UAC prompts, in how agents handle an outage or a lost identity, and in a few dashboard, mobile, and documentation fixes.
The two new remote desktop settings are off on every agent until an administrator turns them on, and they take effect when the agent service next restarts. The Remote Desktop documentation describes what an operator sees with each combination.
New
- Allow Ctrl+Alt+Del is a per-agent setting under Remote Desktop in the agent's configuration that lets you raise the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen on a Windows machine from a remote desktop session.
- Allow viewing and control of the secure desktop is a second per-agent setting that works with Allow Ctrl+Alt+Del to let an operator see and type into the Windows sign-in screen and UAC prompts during a remote desktop session.
- Organization administrators can set how many undelivered records each agent keeps in its local buffer during an outage, from 1,000 to 200,000 with a default of 10,000, under Configuration on the Workspace tab.
- An agent that lost its identity after a restore or reimage asks to be relinked to its existing record, and an administrator approves the request before it reconnects.
- The new Recovery and Repair documentation page covers system restores, cloned images, a damaged local database, a lost agent identity, version drift, connectivity, and self-hosted servers.
Improved
- The mobile remote desktop quick key for Ctrl+Alt+Del is labelled Ctrl+Alt+Del, with Ctrl+Shift+Esc next to it.
- Combo buttons on the bottom row of the mobile remote desktop control bar flash when you press them.
- The documentation sidebar lists the same topics on every page, including Recovery and Repair.
Fixed
- The Ctrl+Alt+Del button in mobile remote desktop sends Ctrl+Alt+Del to the remote machine when the agent allows it.
- Tall dialogs in the dashboard are no longer covered by the top navigation bar.
- Help text for the remote desktop settings in the agent configuration dialog appears under the setting it describes.
- The documentation home page shows the "No topics match" message only when a search has no results.
- Documentation pages list the current support number, +1-682-464-3186.
